Q: What is the best way to reach Vashon Island, and how far is it from SEATAC Airport?
A: Vashon Island is accessible by ferry from downtown Seattle. The journey takes approximately 20-30 minutes, and the island is around 13 miles southwest of SEATAC Airport. Ferry boats run one or twice every hour and no reservations are needed.
